Orbital ATK Antares Launch Info for OA-8 Mission:

The Orbital ATK Antares rocket, with the Cygnus spacecraft aboard, will launch from VCSFA MARS launch Pad-0A at Wallops Island, VA. Weather forecast is 95-percent favorable for the launch, scheduled at 7:37 a.m. EST Saturday, Nov. 11. Launch may be visible from some parts of East Coast. (see map below)

“The Antares rocket will carry Orbital ATK’s Cygnus spacecraft with more than 7,000 pounds of food, clothing and experiments on the CRS-8 mission to the International Space Station.” – NASA
Orbital ATK has named the OA-8 Cygnus Cargo Delivery Spacecraft after former astronaut Eugene “Gene” Cernan. As the last human to step foot on the moon, Cernan set records for both lunar surface extravehicular activities and longest time in lunar orbit, paving the way for future human space exploration.
The launch may be visible, weather permitting, to residents throughout the east coast of the United States
