Robots in Space: The Kibo Robot Project


This summer JAXA (Japanese Space Agency) plans to launch two adorable robots into space and have them visit the ISS. The two robots, Kirobo and his backup Mirata, are currently scheduled to launch on August  4th on a JAXA mission to the ISS. These two robots are able to do body language and facial recognition, voice recognition, natural language processing and speech synthesis.
