Setback for Orbital

Taurus Fairings Chart - Orbital

The Glory Mission Taurus XL launch this morning at 5:09 am has failed to achieve orbit. Initial indications show that the payload fairing failed to separate from the rocket. Orbital had a similar problem in 2009 but redesigned the payload fairing clamshell mechanism (NASA accident report). Unfortunately it looks like the same issue is the result.
