The winners of this years TARC competition (Enloe High School in Raliegh,NC) traveled to Farnborough, England and competed against the UK Aerospace Youth Rocketry Challenge winners in the first trans-atlantic competition. The UK team were the victors is this extremely close competition sponsored by the AIA.
The TARC rules for next year will have a small but significant change. The egg must be transported on its side instead of in the vertical position. This is said to simulate an astronaut being launched. This will definitely add to the engineering challenge.
