Happy Birthday Robert Goddard

Robert Hutchings Goddard was born on this date in 1882. The father of modern rocketry launched the first liquid fueled rocket on March 16th 1926 at “Aunt Effie’s farm” in Auburn, Massachusetts. The first rocket was lovingly named “Nell”. Robert Goddard’s famous book “A Method of Reaching Extreme Altitudes” is available in PDF format here.
