Mid-Atlantic Spaceport gears up for second launch

The Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS) is gearing up for it’s second launch. This launch will be a Minotaur-1 rocket carrying the NFIRE payload (PDF). The current scheduled launch has been set back by high winds from this week’s Nor’easter. The original launch was supposed to be April 21 but is now scheduled for 3:11am April 23rd.

You can keep up to date on the MARS facility by visiting these two blogs:

or at the MARS home page

UPDATE: The flight was scrubbed this morning because of an issue with ground control equipment. The next window is no earlier than 2:48 am Tues. April 24th
